Katherine Scott Crawford is an award-winning author, lecturer and speaker, recovering academic and former adjunct English professor. Her newspaper column appeared weekly in papers across the country and abroad, including in "USA Today," "The Detroit Free Press," "The Herald Scotland," and many more, and her essays have been published in magazines and literary journals.

Author of the historical novel "Keowee Valley," she holds an MFA in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. A former backpacking guide, she directs writers’ retreats at a remote lodge in the North Carolina mountains.

Her second novel, "The Miniaturist's Assistant," is forthcoming from Regal House Publishing in Spring 2025.
